Biological Anthropology
Maddie is a fourth-year PhD student studying personality, stress, and social relationships in female free-ranging and captive ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta) on St. Catherines Island, GA. She has previously researched resilience and the impact of stressors, as well as episodic and recognition memory, in captive aging cotton-top tamarins in the Neiworth Primate Lab at Carleton College. She currently studies under Dr. Karen Strier and is interested in a career in primate welfare, conservation, and education.
