As a graduate student and budding professional, Cody researches Middle Horizon coastal Peru utilizing methods of archaeological excavation and survey as well as remote sensing and GIS applications. This research centers around questions of imperialism, specifically the economic, technological, and ideological aspects of imperial interactions. This interest presented him the opportunity to engage in archaeological excavation, pedestrian and UAV survey, conservation, museum exhibit design, and community outreach in coastal Peru during his undergraduate years.
Cody arrives at the University of Wisconsin-Madison after earning a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Feel free to reach out to Cody if you have any questions about the transition from smaller state universities to larger Division I universities, as well as general questions about applying to or engaging in graduate study.
