Bo Wang is a PhD candidate in Cultural Anthropology working on cultural interpretations of solid waste on sacred landscape, to explain whether it is wise to prioritize Buddhist and animist prayers than waste bins for recyclables. Research interests include environmental anthropology, religion, sacred and profane, phenomenology of the self, personhood, gender, and food waste. His dissertation “The Nature and Cultures of Solid Waste Management in Tibetan Southwest China” is funded by Chiang Ching-Kuo Foundation for Scholarly Exchange and National Science Foundation.
