Tupicocha, a modern Huarochiri village

Elected officers of the Peasant Community of Tupicocha attend a fund-raising ceremony called the 'Wax-Factory' (fábrica de cera). Although people no longer actually make devotional candles at these meetings, they still gather to collect funds for Catholic religious festivities.
