Heather Walder
Heather Walder is beginning her first year as an Anthropology Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin . She graduated from Marquette University in May of 2007 with her B.A. in Anthropology, Classical Languages, and English Literature and is looking forward to applying her diverse background to South Asian archaeological studies. Her work at the Czech American Archaeological Field School in summer of 2006 has sparked additional research interests in the material culture of the Central European Moravian civilization and large-scale experimental archaeology. Heather's background and early training in the Classical languages continue to influence the direction of her career, and undergraduate studies of Sanskrit have prompted her to focus on the South Asian subcontinent as the primary focus of her continued studies. She is grateful for the support of all her advisors and professors in the Marquette community and anticipates productive and enlightening years ahead of her in Madison .
