Kristin Phillips
Kristin Phillips is a Joint Ph.D. Candidate in Anthropology (Advisor - Sharon Hutchinson) and Educational Policy Studies (Advisor - Amy Stambach). With support from Fulbright-Hays DDRA and the Spencer Foundation, she conducted long-term dissertation fieldwork in central Tanzania (2004-2006) on education, hunger, and rural citizenship. She is currently writing her dissertation at the University of Virginia on a two-year predoctoral fellowship at the Carter G. Woodson Institute for African-American and African Studies (2007-2009).
